Sex Ed. Ignorance Is Bliss. Christine O'Donnell

Stroll on.

Fox News on Monday invited former Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders and a young conservative pro-abstinence pundit, Christine O'Donnell, to discuss Barack Obama's recent suggestion that age-appropriate sex education should begin in kindergarten.

"We have a sexually unhealthy society," began Elders, but O'Donnell quickly cut her off, saying with a broad grin, "And that is wonderful. ... It's called modesty. more .

I really don't know what it is about Americans, I know they have all got Jesus, but they really do run a close second to Saudi Arabia when it comes to sexual repression.

Even this democrat seems to be missing the fundamental point.

They insisted that children deserved more than talk about abstinence in an age where they’re constantly pressured to have sex through Internet images and texting.

Hormones man! not Internet images and texting, rampaging hormonal lust, put there by nature for a reason. To procreate the species.

I don't know about you Maren, but the very thought of two kids going down the isle as virgins is a recipe for a disastrous marriage.

Ooh that man!, what nonsense.

"They insisted that children deserved more than talk about abstinence in an age where they’re constantly pressured to have sex through Internet images and texting."

I always think people who say such things are referring to themselves. Anyway, a disdain for children.

On the contrary, sometimes I think the Internet is the best contraception.

"a recipe for a disastrous marriage"

I don’t know about that, it’s not of our time I think. It should not be a recipe in the civilized world, thanks to contraceptives and secularisation. But perhaps there is no recipe, just a matter of luck? M

"This breaks down the natural modesty that exists within children to protect them," O'Donnell continued,

The Moral Recovery U.K. leaflet states “Modern sex education lessons undermine children‟s natural sense of modesty and respectability. They cruelly lead to abnormal and immoral practices, which inevitably lead to ill-health and unhappiness.” - Tony Bennett
